    got new distributor today night and day difference in shaft play... I still had to reset air gap to .008" with brass feeler gauge. but this one should work! find out this weekend.

    ok I figured it out, the upper shaft bushing or bearing is too loose of a fit, caking too much side to o side play when installed and distributor shaft pushing up naturally against the oil pump drive gear. and going clockwise is causing the air relector gap too large and not causing spark...

    Even verifed 12v positive at coil and b terminal at hei module. And verifed 12v negative on ground on heat sink... Im baffled....

    That is exactly how it is wired. I even ran a groynd wire from heat sink block to ground stud. Just tried another coil this one epoxy flame thrower 1.5 ohm. And still no spark.

    i found an aftermarket double v-belt pulley to fit the Durango denso alternator.... found on e-bay. like 25.00 trick is to find the one with a 10mm thick mounting flange and 17mm diameter hole. it fits, now to attempt install tis weekend if I get time.

    i have the sqaureback chrome 75 or 95 amp one works but not enough juice, power master said 95 amp is all the mopar case can handle, have to change to denso or delco version for more amps.
