1973 dart swinger new ignition switch install... want to install a remote starter button hidden some where. what color is the cranking power lead to the relay from the ignition switch coming out of the steering column?, is it the blue or the brown? my schematic i am using off the internet is...

got new distributor today night and day difference in shaft play... I still had to reset air gap to .008" with brass feeler gauge. but this one should work! find out this weekend.

ok I figured it out, the upper shaft bushing or bearing is too loose of a fit, caking too much side to o side play when installed and distributor shaft pushing up naturally against the oil pump drive gear. and going clockwise is causing the air relector gap too large and not causing spark...

Well either way on engine mounted. No spark out of engine. Has spark? Unit must be grounding somehow in the housing..... Starting with a new one Thursday. When it shows up.

Ok. Summit is sending me a new one . i do enough business. No problems there. ..... It is a pro form 66990... No spark from coul wire in block cranking with cap on. I removed distributor. And spun by hand with kry on with new gm hei set up. Shot one hell of a spark... Spinning fast good.... Went...

well ok yes continuity... I revered the leads used a 12v positive dvom reading, and used grounding rivet and heat sink block and shows a reading...

looks identical to the mopar stock distributor.... just a new unit by procomp with a mild curve in it. bought from summit, I did get it to run briefly with the 4 pin unit, but hasn't worked well at all lately, gave up on 4 pin. might have been the dizzy I guess... I do have a stock unit, just...

it has 12v negative with meter on the rivet hole on the module, that should and appear to be properly grounded , correct?

Would a bad pickup coil cause no spark from coil wire to distributor? Pulled coil wire and near ground. Crank... No sparky arcy?

Nope. Just a stock style housing. With only a pickup. Coil in it. With a slight. Curve in it....

Even verifed 12v positive at coil and b terminal at hei module. And verifed 12v negative on ground on heat sink... Im baffled....

That is exactly how it is wired. I even ran a groynd wire from heat sink block to ground stud. Just tried another coil this one epoxy flame thrower 1.5 ohm. And still no spark.

I was havn trouble with chrysler 4 pin box. So i did the gm hei module conversion. 4 pin on heat sink. Grounded. Wired correctly to every post found. New blaster 2 coil. And still no spark to distributor. I verifed 4 pin. Positive accross and according to inyernet is good. Tried a second one...

Wow. I did say a factory. Resisted coil. Single leaded resistor. And 12volts and drops. Just thought that it glowing ted on the back side seamed unusual. But appears to be normal. According to the few that read it understandingly .... Thanks for those. Positive responses. ..

1973 dart, had a fbo system on vehicle removed thinking it was my problem, now I know it wasn't, I just installed back to a stock over the counter resisted coil, and side resistor, states in wring diagrams online, 12v ignition and relay cranking 12v goes to one side, the others to the generic...

it is a gm a/c delco dr44 alternator... that is the model off a 2012 gm product. LS or diesel type alternator. most common used nowadays. lots of reliable amps. thought that others who had done the gm wiring would know, if you have a 2 wire gm unit you will only get 13.8 volts period all...

i found an aftermarket double v-belt pulley to fit the Durango denso alternator.... found on e-bay. like 25.00 trick is to find the one with a 10mm thick mounting flange and 17mm diameter hole. it fits, now to attempt install tis weekend if I get time.

used the fbo limiting plate, fbo ignition box, and his spring kit, 18 degree slots, and 2 middle silver springs. all in around 2200-2500ish

i have the sqaureback chrome 75 or 95 amp one works but not enough juice, power master said 95 amp is all the mopar case can handle, have to change to denso or delco version for more amps.
