    1968 Leaf spring code 132

I have the rear suspension apart on my 1968 Barracuda Fastback. I noticed that it has 6 leafs on both side and a 5/8" front mounting bolt. So doing measurements, the front eye to the perch pin is 20" and the leafs are 2 1/2" wide. Checking the broadcast sheet, I see that it was marked Rear...

Sub-frame connectors... Please build them correctly!

Agree, plus full frame cars are not welded to the floor. Yes, they may be thicker, but are only bolted in about 6 spots per side. So welding from one end to the other, ties the two welded subframes together.... better than nothing :)

    Moving rear end back

No binding at all, shocks clear fine. I did need to dent the gas tank a little to clear the diff, but no big deal.

    Show That Lowered A-body!

Looks sweet, now you need a HDK rear 4 link to lower the rear.

    MadDart's 4-Link Rearend

Does this set up come with a panhard bar? The link provided, those upper links don't look like they are at a wide enough angle to completely eliminate side to side movement. What are the angles you mount the upper links at?

    After market steering columns

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to revive it instead of starting a new thread. Is there an aftermarket steering column that can be used with the stock firewall? What length are you guys using?

Sub-frame connectors... Please build them correctly!

Maybe the owner should have laser cut the top of the frame off and welded it to the floor pans... you know, for strength. #-o

    Show That Lowered A-body!

LOL. I wish. It really wasn't too bad. I little harsh on the big bumps. But, I must agree with Idaho, the Hemi Denny K-Frame is the way to go, it solves all issues.

    Show That Lowered A-body!

My front end was sitting on the bump stops when I was driving it around. I noticed no ill issues at all. I had hotchkis rear suspension and Doctor Diff front hangers, which lowered the rear almost 3 1/2". I turned the front down to match.
