I don’t think that front wheel will clear the outer tie rod. Depends on brakes, but I think a 17x8 with 5.5” backspacing is about as much as you can get on an A body in a 17.

275 is pretty much max width in the back w/ stock pieces. You will have to test fit and measure. The last time the rear of my car was stock was 1993 so I'm not going to be much help!

Personally I was looking at the possibility of running Michelin PS2 345/30-19 on the rear of mine. What front tire size do you have? Never mind... found your older post: 275/35/18; I am planning on that or a 285/35-18. Got to get it running and driving before I spend money on wheels and tires!

The 215/70 is 25.9”, that is really pushing the limit. Turn your wheel out and see how much clearance you have at the front edge of the fender. The 225/70 is 26.5” tall.

And this is the same people that rebuilt your suspension? Doesn’t give you that warm fuzzy feeling does it.

Depends on the suspension and brake package. I have 18x9 35mm on my car. I have Dr. Diff's 13" brake package. That spaces it out farther than the '73-'76 spindle / brake combo so that needs more backspace to compensate. I think a 18x9.5 with a 40mm offset and a 1/8" spacer would work well on...

Looks good! If by the inside edge you mean the frame side a little tight there is OK. If you need to space it out a little you can. The other direction is a problem.

I just remembered something, in January I also test fit a 18x9 with 5.95" backspace on my car with the 245/40-18 and the fender sat on the edge of the tire. With 3/16" less track width per side it still would not have cleared. For reference: Here is a picture of a '65 Barracuda (Max's car)...
