Almost got the stance I was shooting for...

its close but at full compression they don't touch. @StrokerScamp, I intentionally relocated the front hole up from the stock position as I intentionally wanted to lower the car, its just about 1 lower than I calculated. Good thing I'm working with metal (easily manipulated). And on the...

Almost got the stance I was shooting for...

I got to dig thru my receipt box but I bought the tank from a source that was recommended to me here on FABO. The rears are just plain old stock steel wheels off of the 5th Ave that I pilfered the engine, trans, and rearend out of. I think it was an 86. I installed rear disc off of a...

Almost got the stance I was shooting for...

the indentation in the fuel tank that fits around the spare tire tub is sooo tight that that's as far as I can move it to the left... I tried already. In hindsight I would have gotten the 18(?) gallon tank instead of the larger of the two options.

Almost got the stance I was shooting for...

I knew that moving the leaf springs inboard was gonna give me some drop but dang! Gonna have to drop the nose another inch. Seriously thinking of getting the dropped spindles now. I'm trying to figure out how my headlight and bucket disappeared while sitting in the back of the damn yard...

    Spring relocation question

I don't think so... on my 72 Duster the leaf springs occupy the area where the pipes would normally go so for now they dump in front of the rear axle WHICH I HATE, but once I find a "real" tube bender I'll fix that!

    Lower Control Arm Questions

when assembled the movement is minimal due to the torsion bar on one side and the strut rod on the other side. If you plan on doing some auto crossing you probably won't notice the benefits of the boxed plate but it's such a simple gig and you have the arms out anyway....

rear sway bar question part deux...

excuse the crappy cell phone pics. This is why I was asking about the sway bar mounting. If you note on my car the "box" the goes in the frame for the front spring to mount to is pretty wide and sticks away from the frame a bit. Thats the part I was worrying about hitting the vertical bar that...

Question about a rear sway bar for my Duster...

I want to install a rear sway bar on my 72 Duster, but I have relocated the leaf springs (but haven't done the mini yet). Will this affect the mounting of the sway bar because of the U-Bolts being further inside now? I'm trying to think ahead because the relocation affected my Summit dual...
