Are you sure you have the right headers? I have Headmans with a 73 Duster that had a slant 6. No issues at all. The DRIVERS side I had to take off the idler arm. The Passenger side was the easy side. I have power steering too.

I'd try to repaint them with high temp paint first too. I sandblasted mine, and then repainted them. They shouldn't rust so quickly that way. When I received mine from Summit, they were all scratched up anyway. when I called they even told me the paint that it comes on it isn't considered...

I bought the Headmans and didn't have to dent a thing. I have power steering too. Like mentioned though, taking off the steering linkage is a PITA! So, just take a deep breath and be prepared before you start.

Cool, the H-pipe seems pretty home made too. The hole in the straight pipe just looks like someone blew a 1 1/2" hole in it with a welder. I am kind of disappointed, but as you guys say... It's better than not having one at all. It was free too.
