    Mopar Action magazine DISCONTINUED

Like the original post, I thought my subscription had died and I missed it. When the new mag showed up, I was pleased. MM is one thing but MA is quite another; more my speed. I've been a subscriber ever since the NOS neon rental incadent. My kinda guys

    8 3/4 mopar gear

I'm assuming that 7000 is the shift point, I'd still look at going with less tire diameter. It is by far cheaper and easier to do, rather than a gear change. I guess what I'm truing to say is; do you really need that much "cushion" in the tire diameter? Also, with less diameter you'll have...

alterkation front end? how are they?

There's something to be said for technology and along with it comes safety and piece of mind. My #2 daughter's ex has an early Comet (6 cylinder 4 dr). I recommended to him to put disc brakes on the front and get rid of the single reservoir master cylinder to improve safety and reliability...

    fiberglass bumpers

If you look closely, I'm only using one of the two OE brackets on each side. I figured if I'm going to get into an "issue" with a glass bumper, having an extra bracket isn't going to help much. Besides it's just more weight :toothy10:

    AAR "Quality" Fiberglass, REALLY?

If the box upon arrival was intact, it does generate more questions than answers. I work with an international air freight company (who's quite large). They get stuff in all the time that they have to repack as some gorilla either mishandled it or the shipper didn't do the best they could have...

Just a ball park idea will do.

Pic 1 - This car sold for 12K 70 Challenger R/T original 383 A/T, now 440 Pic 2 - A "spare no expense" set up for the guys wife. All that remained was interior and body work. MSD dist, MSD alt, Wilwood brakes F&R, etc. Economy or not, some things are either too cool, or too clean, to go for cheap.

Just a ball park idea will do.

I have a similar car only it's a 68 Dart. Original /6 blah, blah, blah. that's what caught my interest. The idea that what you have is only worth 6500-8500 isn't too real. Recently a BB Barracuda originally a 318 car, of the 67-69 range sold for $5800 at our local show & swap. It was still...

    AAR "Quality" Fiberglass, REALLY?

Looks more like shipping damage than the part put in box with damage. JMO. My AAR hood came in just fine. The corners of the hood were packed in that expanding foam crud that took an act of Congress to get off, but when all was said and done, it was just fine. For the corners to be chipped...

alterkation front end? how are they?

Exactly. Think of all the places the OEM can have slop: Steer box, pitman, idler (in two areas: the pivot AND the joint itself), 2 inner and 2 outer tie rods vs. rack and 2 tie rod ends. Also, the OEM K-member is only spot welded together and, if you look at the bracing for the steering box...

    8 3/4 mopar gear

Doesn't look like it. 5.13 seems to be the max. A shorter tire diameter would effectively lower the ratio without having to do the gears to the 5.57 or 5.38 level. Just a thought...
