    Pressure wash it and perform a recheck... You will find it :)

    slant six cranks but won't start

    Pull and Clean the fuel tank.... Blow out the fuel lines... Change the fuel hoses.... Change the fuel filter and fuel pump. Open and clean out the carb.... Add new fuel... That should fix the problem...

    Check all your vacuum hoses and cap plugs to make sure you dont have a rotted hose or cap causing a vacuum leak.

    If it is sticky... Its varnish..... Pull the tank.... Back flush the fuel line.... Blow it out with air.... New filter... Take the carb apart and clean it out.... I was able to free all the valves in the one I did with WD40.... However this engine did not bend any valves, but it did bend a...

    Did you replace the hose back at the fuel tank? Pull somemore timing back in it... it will ether smooth out or start missing...

    Baffle just calms the incoming fuel flow down.... Not sure on the spring for the float. But I was told once that the old floats were heavy? So ether way iv just always put them back in. Now I have done without the baffle before with out problems. I guess some guys just dont know how to get them...

    Street Car for me it's Castrol 30W up to 70,000 Miles Then I go to Castrol 40W till the rebuild.... Works for me

    The old.... Oil pick up tube not sitting in the oil treatment.... That will get you everytime.... Glad you found it and got it fixed....

    Sounds like it's going to need to be removed and replaced at some point anyway.... If you don't feel rite about doing it yourself. Find a good shop to help you out. But don't let it leave you sitting or overheating the motor out on the road somewhere.

    Use a manuel oil gauge and retest it.... If it's still low...Your pulling it to find out what happened... Just My 2 cents
