Not great but decent. the same website should have diagrams for 72 as well. These are just the ones I have saved on my desktop.
Well I plugged it back in today and it seemed to run fine. Now that I think about itI had it apart to clean it up a bit and it was probably just some of the degreaser I had used that was burning off.
I did order a fire extinguisher today just in case I ever need it. I guess it was one of those...
While I was trying to break in my 440 motor this afternoon the alternator started to smoke when I first started cranking. What could cause this? Could I have the 2 wires that go to the voltage regulator crossed? Heres how I have it wired.
Any reason I couldnt plug my electric choke into my alternator as a power source? It seems like the easiest/closest place but I couldnt find any info on here about it. I was thinking since nobody else seems to be doing this maybe its a bad idea for some reason that I'm not seeing.
I bought a distributor from 440 source and need help with the wiring. It has one red and one black wire coming from it. The wires that it needs to plug into are White w/ black stripe and brown w/ white stripe. I have a wiring diagram but I'm having trouble interpreting it. Which wire plugs where?
The distributoir I was planning on using on my 440 came out of a 77 New Yorker. My problem is that it has 2 plugs coming out of it and I'm not sure what the second one is for. The second plug has 3 wires going to it. Can I still run this distributor without pluging this plug in? Or should I just...
I'm on a computer at work and for some reason it has both the wbsites you posted blocked. :angry7:
I did a search for 74 emergency override switch and found on a ford forum which wires needed to be spliced to bypass the switch. Anybody know what color the wires would be on a mopar? Also, there...
Is there a way to bypass this switch? I dont have my seatbelts plugged in but every now and then my duster decides it doesn't want to start. I usually have to disconnect the positive battery terminal for a few seconds and then she fires up. this problem had me stumped for the last few years.
I have a wiring harness that ends in a connector behind the front passenger side kick panel. What is this for? Its been years since I took the car apart so I dont have a clue. Car is a 74 duster.
Well I already have a volt gauge in the car. Whats the best way to bypass the ammeter? I can live with having a dead gauge in my car.
Also I would like to replace the safety switch on the clutch pedal just incase this is the problem. Where can i get replacement parts for this? Or would it...
So today I'm leaving work and go to crank my duster and nothing happens. At first I thought my Battery must've died but then noticed my lights were working fine. I tried cranking again a few time and it eventally started without problem. Has anyone every had this problem? What do i need to...
its a 74 duster and its a cheap summit racing tach. It has four wires, red to power, black to ground, green to coil negative, and yellow to accessory. Which wire's do i need to hook up to? the one's i cant figure out is the yellow and green.
Which wire is the accesory wire and where is the easist place to splice my tach into it? Also I noticed that my tail lights dont turn on when my head lights are on. all my other lights work fine and they're not burned out. any ideas?
I'm in the process of hooking up a tachometer in my 74 duster but wasnt sure the easiest way to do it. I know the red wire is the power and black is ground. but which is the accesory wire? where's the easiest place to splice these wires in?
Also I noticed my when I turn my head lights on the...
