I'm in the process of hooking up a tachometer in my 74 duster but wasnt sure the easiest way to do it. I know the red wire is the power and black is ground. but which is the accesory wire? where's the easiest place to splice these wires in?

Also I noticed my when I turn my head lights on the tail lights dont come on. All the other lights work fine though. Anyone know what could be wrong?

red goes to a hot that comes on with the key, black goes to ground, green goes to negative side of coil and white goes to the fuse marked instrument panel or panel lights and will make the light in tach dim with the turning of the headlight switch

Red and white can go in the fuse box; white in the panel lights slot, and red in whichever slot has power when the key is on.

you the man waggin. mines bright all the time cause i didnt go panel.nice touch
