    Coil over conversion? what shocks?

RideTech has a great shock offering for coil-overs these days, non/single/double/triple adjustable, electronically adjustable... all kinds of fun.

    Daily Driver Roll Cage, comfort?

You are correct in your assessment Ink. The owner of the car is not looking to race his muscle car or looking to conform to a sanctioning body. The owner/builder is merely looking to add more strength (stiffness) than the 45 year old uni-body offers. A bit additional impact/rollover protection...

    Daily Driver Roll Cage, comfort?

High and crazy tight... That's what I'm planning anyway. Here are some pics I downloaded from a build on Lat-g I think. This is along the lines of what I'm thinking. I want it there but I don't want to know it's there, and I don't want others to either.

    Upgrading a Fairly Stock Suspension

I agree with C130 Chief. I would add, in terms of shocks, to also take a look at RideTech. they have a shock line (also partnered with Fox) that includes an electronically adjustable shock to go from a plush ride type dampening to a more performance oriented dampening. They also have single...

Yeah, do something easy. Say, a full chassis build with custom everything.

    Show That Lowered A-body!

I am running air but this picture is ride height, 5 inches to the rocker. Deflated will be 2 inches... Suspension is completely custom using Gen 3 Viper knuckles all around, Joe's racing uppers fr. & rr., home built LCA up front and Viper LCA in the rear. RideTech Viper spec air suspension...

Mustang Style IFS Swap 1968 Dart

another good point. Sooooo many variables to consider when designing a front suspension. It's NOT rocket science, but there is a lot to consider other than getting the geometry right.

20s for the Demon - how low can I go? (big wheel haters don't look)

Considering cutting the wheel well opening and raising it. Going to do some playing with it and see what I think.

20s for the Demon - how low can I go? (big wheel haters don't look)

Cutting the crap out of everything and doing it my way. I haven't built wheel tubs yet (quarters need to be locked down first) and the trunk lid hinges will likely have to be moved in toward the center, that's mostly figured out in my head. But it sits like I want it to.

20s for the Demon - how low can I go? (big wheel haters don't look)

I haven't looked closely at Denny's k member or control arms enough to know, but one option to make an air bag work "could" be to lower the mount in the LCA. I don't have a good picture on photobucket but I dropped my mount between the two tubes on the LCA which keeps the top of the shockwave...

20s for the Demon - how low can I go? (big wheel haters don't look)

Tucking that much tire is going to wreak havoc depending how low you go. I'm running 18's/19's, 5" ground clearance to the rocker and a stock tube wouldn't even come close to fitting my 345/30's in the rear. Don't even think about the front. Definitely can not go too low without losing the front...

Oh yeah, don't forget the fuel system. You'll need either a custom tank or external fuel pump, regulator, etc.

    Viper Dart Suspension questions

Expect this plus headers (???) and all kinds of fab to squeeze that thing in between a firewall and a radiator, in addition to the trans tunnel. I'm not sure the oil pan will clear the K-member either so you'll need to either build/buy a custom pan, or look at the truck pan which is rear sump. I...

    Any one use Martz chassis?

It seems pretty complete for the price. Don't know anything about the geometry but the front cross-member is weld-in, not bolt-in.

My street used Tubular K frame is getting close!

Looks pretty good. since I've gotten all into suspension, i want to know geometry and see numbers, roll, roll migraton, instant center, camber & caster gain, bump, ackermann. not that it matters to me really, I cutal that junk out to use one. just curious cuz I'm into that and all.

    Rear Independent Suspension? Anyone?

That's a good point. If high horsepower is going to be put through the driveline, upgraded half shafts may be needed, and they do NOT come cheap.

    Rear Independent Suspension? Anyone?

Cool site. I'm taking the long, difficult road to IRS. I'm replacing my rear rails in a week and a half to clean things up and give me a better install.

If either the 56" or 60" track will fit your build go for it. Make sure you know if that is a hub to hub track, rotor flange to rotor flange track, or normal track measurement which goes from the center of each tire My guess is hub to hub but I didn't look close enough. Shouldn't be too bad a...

    young and need help

I think what he's asking is how he can get a wider rim/tire combination up front. I can't tell you what size you can get because my build is 100% custom, but get a tape measure and the size tire you want to squeeze in the and figure out what backspace you need to make it work. I've never tried...

    Air ride on my 66'!

That's some very impressive work he's doing. I'm going to have problems with my inner fenders when mine is aired out as well. It will take some staring and thinking to figure out a resolution that looks good. You're thinking about this on the Baracuda? If so, get a kit from Ride Tech for the...
