    Looking for a new headliner

I have the same hard headliner in my car. The texture was peeling, but overall it was in good shape. I bought some contact fabric glue and material that matched my interior and fitted it to the hardboard. It turned out really well and cost me about $20 dollars in material.

    74 Duster Headliner

I think I tucked mine under the seal as well, and I wasn't thrilled with the look of it. Of course on top of, or butted up to, didn't look much better. I don't recall, or didn't notice how it was in originally before I took it out.

    My custom shifter cover (UPDATED)

Not a fan of carbon fiber personally, but you, my friend, make it look good. I have enjoyed all the photos you have posted, and hope to attempt some of your artistry on my Duster.

71 Demon one piece headliner question

Is your headliner still solid? Mine was in good structural shape but looked like crap. My wife bought some nice fabric that went well with the interior. It was pertty easy to fit and glue the fabric onto the panel and took about an hour or so. Now it looks better then it ever did from the factory

Driver floor board wet? ...tracing leak

This is the only picture I have that shows the vents before I removed them. The passenger side one is closed, the drivers side is open. The carpets are the result of years of water infiltration through the vents.

Driver floor board wet? ...tracing leak

Actually, I had pulled the heater box/passenger side vent to replace it with an aftermarket HVAC system. The new heater box did not include a vent option, just a block off plate for the hole. I decided to do the same on the drivers side as well, so when I cleaned them I had removed the vent...

Driver floor board wet? ...tracing leak

can't say for sure all A bodies have them, but 73 and 74 Dusters do. If your car has them you can't miss them. They are the big black boxes with doors that reside by your left knee (drivers side) and right knee (passenger side) (on left drive cars anyway :-) ). On the passenger side, it's part...

Driver floor board wet? ...tracing leak

If it is clogged drains, here is a good method I found....I had my son on the hose and filling the cowl area a little at a time. As he was doing this, I started poking in the drain hole, pulling out debris as it got wedged in the hole. When most of the bigger stuff was pulled/washed out, I...

    Water Leak

The cowl/vent area, the windshield seal, and the windshield wiper gaskets are the most common suspects

Driver floor board wet? ...tracing leak

Where the wipers come through the firewall is a good place to start. Other places to check would be the drains on the side of the cowling and years of silt and debris around the cowl vents.

Has anyone seen these and know how they attach.

of course ours is a 73 Duster, but the concept should be the same

Has anyone seen these and know how they attach.

If your cardboard piece is still in good structural shape just cover it with the cloth of your choice. That's what we did with ours and it turned out great!

    Headliner installation

this thread makes me glad they switched to a one piece cardboard headliner for my 73 Duster. I just did mine as well. My wife covered it with a nice material and I was able to put it in with my sons help in about 15 minutes.

    Plastic interior pieces

not sure what I was reading at work, but thought it said something about interior trim....I think someone slipped something in my water. The seats are in good shape though

    Plastic interior pieces

http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=166767 Here's a post I just saw and remembered this post from yesterday. I can't get on ebay from work, but if it is the interior from a dart sport it should be an identical interior

    Plastic interior pieces

my 74 had a blue interior that was pretty busted up. I think we lucked out when we found a complete black interior in perfect shape in a junk yard.

    Custom dash cluster

http://www.rtspecialties.net/proddetail.asp?prod=4051004 I don't remember off hand what the stock resistance is for this (a stock sending unit) sending unit. The reason this is specific to the Duster and not the other one you linked to from Summit is the fact that the sending unit and the tube...

    Custom dash cluster

This looks similar to the one I put in my car. The only thing is, they're designed for a fuel cell and will not work with at the stock sender location. They need to be top mounted. I simply cut a hole in the top of the tank and mounted it there. I then had to cut a small hole in the trunk floor...

    Duster floormats...

I actually own a set of them. I love them, but they faded pretty bad and the stitching turned kinda brownish. That may have been because I had a leak and they were wet a lot though

    Low back

I think what ever looks best to you is the way to go. Personally, I prefer the high back seat. My 73 has high backs I pulled out of a junkyard 69 dart if I remember right.

    another component ID needed

actually that does make sense. I forgot the way the seat belts were made in the 73. I already transferred belts from a 74 into the 73 so there is really no reason to keep the clips at all. Thanks guys!

    another component ID needed

hmmmm, that's the only thing I could think of that they were for, but the placement was confusing me. One is in a position (about even with your shoulder) that makes sense, the other is toward the front corner of the door about 6" back from the sun visor. Either way, they are kinda ugly so will...
