Sometimes reving past optimum (not beyond engine's safe capability) produces better results as it sets the next gear up better. Experimentation will tell the truth.

The one in my avatar is sitting on superstock springs and definately is "Jacked up" it also has 29" drag radials on it. I have run Mickey Thompson 28x9 Slicks on several previous 67-69 Barracudas with stock springs/ride height with no problem.

A Holley red pump with regulator set at 7psi using stock 5/16 pick up / tank and line was good enough for 11.70s in my 68 Barracuda mild 360. Nothing fancy or trick just basic set up.

I love the idea of mounting the shift light in the dash I may borrow that concept.

SOrry it has been a while. Cracked back wins the prize "Pig Fat" it is. The carb had been modified by previous owner seems it is a modified 850 DP. After pulling several plugs they are severly fuel fouled. Bought a 650 DP today at a swapmeet to rebuild and try. Hope for lower ETs soon.

Sorry forgot to mention it has a performer RPM air gap intake.
