The valves, springs and guides were all from the 302 heads. Only thing i took off the other heads was the rocker arms and shafts

So how do i measure them with the springs on? Do i just measure the spring hight the old heads and see if they are the same as the 302s? I dont have any adjustments on the rockers. What would i do then if they are taller?

I couldnt tell if it had anything done with it. The pistons didnt have any number on the top of them saying of they were .30 or so. But its possible of its been rebuilt in the past. I think the issue was the valves sticking. There was a few small dings on the top of the pistons from where the valves hit. But nothing big. The valves were stuck inside the heads with a massive build up of varnish.

I dont think it jumped a tooth. The chain had some wear on it so i put a new double timing chain. But had to put a tensioner on it

I just reused the original rockers with the right year pushrods

I dont have pics of the original heads but the valves were full of gunk like bad gas. They needed to be hammered out. After cleaning the heads I found the cracks. I cleaned tank.
