    Paint code YY1

Is YY1 that "root beer brown"? I like that color on some cars but it's the first color I see underneath many repaints.

    Deck lids

I never knew why they called that panel, or where the name "deck lid" came from I always knew them as a "trunk lid".

Is ECS my only option for a date coded windshield? (Problem is now resolved)

I wouldn't worry about a date code I just had to pay $350 for a damn USED windshield for my son's car a '72 c body fury wagon because that's all either of us could find That doesn't count the 6 hours each way drive time or gas to go to Murray Park in Ohio to get what we did. (Murray Park is the...

    What sealer here

Need a different spool.anyway. I have 0.035 in my mig right now. Seems most of what I weld I wind up having to do with "short zaps" anyway. I'm gonna have to pull the fenders, not sure how much further down that gap goes ... Definitely looks factory though.

    What sealer here

    What sealer here

I'm gonna have to check out that "duroglas". As all projects go im about to the point of no return on the bodywork portion of this truck and am to the point I think I'm gonna pull the cab and strip it bare, sure wasn't wanting to go that far....

    What sealer here

A local buddy recommended welding that seam but I thought it was there purposely so cab "could"flex a bit.... I know that in later years of D/W trucks that were prone to cracking on the sides of the cowl. Wouldn't welding it shut increase those chances? In the 90s Mopar offered. "reinforcement...

@Marcus V. You're a body guy. This truck is a twin to the one that you had up front, back when I bought those bedsides from ya..... Except for a /6 instead of yours being a V8.... Any ideas? Or anybody else?

    What sealer here

Sorry not an a body but a Dodge none the less... I've asked on "dodge truck" threads elsewhere and get crickets so I thought I'd try here. 85 D150 When I bought it, I left it on a trailer in the driveway for about a month before I unloaded it into the garage. Every time it rained I had a wet...

Has anyone thought about or made their own version of the "Air Grabber " ??

when I first got my Volare (yeah I know.... F body) I was admiring a kit I saw advertised for them, for a "shaker" that was based off the E body ones but scaled "just right" for an F body.... IDK if still available, but at the time I wanted one so bad.... shoulda bought one just to have...

If you ever need a windshield, try these guys

Thanks but no thanks I just tried an online quote for them for my kid's car (a c body land yacht) and they came back with $721 and some change. That's about double my worst fear

Best way to separate pinch welds

I'll have to check that out. I was actually wondering about that, swap the wheel wells and all/ all at once even though the original ones are fine. Just like the reason I left them while as I got them for now til I'm ready for that part of the project as I am afraid of how flimsy the outer panel...

Best way to separate pinch welds

The replacement, cut off bedsides are ~30 miles out, it'll be a minute before I'm ready to retrieve them/ but they are complete cutoffs from an 8', 80s D150. They cut thru the front wall and all the way down the length of the bed, "just" inboard of the wheel wells. Other then drilling from the...

Best way to separate pinch welds

I have a similar situation, only I can't get to the "scrap" side due to little clearance. I have a set of cut off truck bed sides and I can't get in under the upper lip to grind that portion away...... was gonna go at them with something like a Blair rotabroach on both the donor and...
