That’s a 273 transmission, nothing performance about that. They came in 64/65 darts, valiants and barracudas

That connects to the bracket that bolts to the back of the head for the 2 barrel throttle. Jake

Those all are early a 64-66. First is 273 3/4 speed Z bar from what i can tell. The one marked DART is 65/66 column shift. The last picture is for 2 barrel throttle kickdown and mounts to the back or the cylinder head. Jake

You can buy a external balanced flex plate and use a 727 converter without the weights attached or you can use a regular flex plate and use a 727 that’s weighted correctly. Jake

It had 3.55 when I got it but I take it on the freeway. I’ll tell you what, that 4000k hum got to me really quick. I put 3.23 in there now and it’s a good balance.

I’ve got a rebuilt 904/360 magnum that’s in my valiant currently. I want to pull that combo out and put it in my 72 360/727 D100. My question is can only assume there was a reason they put 727’s behind small blocks in trucks but can anyone fill me in on potential downsides other than the 904...
