    Opinion on Electronic ignition for 68 340

    I second the pertronix unit, so easy to install in the old distributor. I just added one to my truck and have had one in my 63 360 valiant that’s worked flawlessly for the last 5 years. I would suggest the epoxy filled coil since you can mount it horizontally as well as vertically. Jake

    That looks like a race distributor similar to one Mallory makes for RB engines. It’s got an adjustable advance unit on the outside. I can’t tell if yours does from the picture you posted though. Jake
