either one of these combos is going to take one hell of a cooling system to stay cool on the street. i think the 451 is a nice combo that in your car could go into the 9's easily. my dads 451 has box stock eddy rpm heads with a mild solid mech. cam. car goes 10.70s in a full street trim demon...

i got mine off ebay and they sucked. they fit like hell. i had to cut em up like jig saw puzzle pieces to get them to fit but in the end they filled the hole.

dougs, tti, hooker and sanderson all make headers for the early a-body. they are not cheap no mater how you go about it. headers on any engine are going to make more hp then the factory v8 manifolds.

thats a tough one. i have an agreed value plan. my car is insured for 35k. if its totaled that is what i get. the only bad part is if you want to buy the total back they will charge you on a scale of that agree'd value. that being said i have over 25k in reciepts and i know my car would be lucky...

you can use the factory 5.9 flex plate. you will have to oblong one hole by about 1/8" and then it will bolt up to your NEUTRAL BALANCE torque converter.

all early a-body k-frames are the same. you can get engine mounts from schumacker. you will need a v-8 dropped center link. I am dumping the fuel injection and wire harness from my 5.9 and going carburated for simplicity sake. the 904 trans for pretty much any small block mopar will bolt right...

I will be putting a B&M quick silver shifter up thru that exact console. i will be fabricating my own shift arm and installing the console with a bench seat. its a pretty basic project. I did it with a 67 console in my dart. then i scrapped the entire console idea and built my own shift cover.

ya i made my own. mine wrap around the back of the arm. back behind the pivot point.

the lower control arm stiffening plates are also a worth while addition. they unitize the control arm and help limit deflection. I think it is AR engineering that sells them for like $25

i was looking too. the dougs have multipul pipes that you take apart. the tti is all one piece.
