Problem with that is you would end up with 100k more in product sitting around hoping someone wants the combo you pre-built... then warranty issues cause of people blowing **** up and trying to blame the shortblock (that's why blueprint doesn't sell shortblocks) just a lot of headache..

I have a set of Mopar Performance chrome valve covers for an LA small block. The chrome is real nice on these. I had to do a little welding on one cover, of some pin holes (see Pic). Don't know if it will leak or not. I think you can mount these so the weld will be on top, and not too noticable...

I bet if they had ready to go short blocks to go for each of the popular top end choices in that market, they would be in higher demand with credit card builders.

TC's today are not what they used to be. The need to get the car moving better is exactly why you would use a better one on the street. Gearing is fine to change, but a quality TC will help immensely.

I bet the average big block is making more hp per pound of engine weight, especially in a A Body.

I believe the clip goes on the outside and the retainer that the throw out bearing rides on holds it in place. It’s been a long time since I’ve had one apart.
