bolt placement for timing cover/water pump

ok, when I took apart this 318 a few months ago I actually took a piece of paper and mimicked the front of the timing cover to get the right length bolt back into its proper hole. Well, lo and behold, I've seemed to have lost/misplaced the paper (go figure!). Is it really that big of a deal or...

ok stroker guru's, gig this one

alright we all know that doing the stroke on the 360 versus a 318 nets more cubes as well as torque (given all things equal) and is cheaper to boot. Yeah I know about the 340 but if you ain't got one and are willing to pay a small ransom for one, you have my blessing(s). 360's are plentiful...

    need a little compression bump.

need a head gasket recommendation for a street car. It has a stock bore 318 with mildly ported "302" heads on it and factory replacement pistons. Short block is done and it's going back together so at this point in the game my only option is a thinner than stock gasket. I know it wont be much...

    need new valve springs

need some suggestions for replacement springs for a cam that I'm waiting to be sent to me via UPS. It's for 318 pre-Magnum roller. The heads are receiving a mild port job, more of a cleaning up than anything. They have also been machined for 1.88/1.60 valves and surfaced. Advertised in. 270...

    360 cam in a 318...

just had a factory roller cam from a early 90's 360 offered to me for $50. I'm in the middle of a 318 rebuild (on the cheap) for my Duster. Being my 318 is a pre-Magnum roller and I don't run a mechanical fuel pump anyway can I use this cam?

    pre Magnum roller engines

besides pulling off the intake, is there a way to tell if a 318 is a factory roller? I know that in the late "A" series run that Mother started putting hydraulic rollers in the 318 but short of tearing one apart how can you tell?

hey, got a simple (not so) question...

working on my 1st street Duster ( the other 2 were track cars ) and I have what seems to be a easy question but being this is my 1st attempt at a LA engine A body I'd better ask. Will a 360/904 out of a 80's pickup fit in a 72 Duster? I know that it will physically fit but what I mean is I want...
