No, it wasn't hit with a Shrapnel Grenade. My guess is that somewhere down the line, someone wanted to remove the paint "real fast" & used 26 grit discs on a grinder. 90% of the body was like this.
No wonder they caked bondo all over it.
1969 Dart. Had a carb’d 5.3 and th350 in it a few years back. Had it running then a buddy made me an offer I couldn’t refuse on the drivetrain. It’s been in storage for a while. Just yanked out a 4.8 from an 02 Silverado. Going to run a mildly built 4L60E behind it.
1970 Dodge Dart Swinger ( H-Code 340 4 speed Car ) Has a 360 ( Roller Cam ) motor with a fresh 727 in it now . Have owned this car since the late 80"s .
