"03HDFB" 71 Duster...Battery Relocation to Trunk

Well.....I'm 2 months into modding the Duster but haven't had time to post up. Here's a quick one!! Had to make some room in the engine bay for the EFI Command center...So the battery had to go.... I wanted to make sure I had easily accessible power in the engine bay still....so I decided to put a remote terminal in place of the battery....all the original cables/relays would all stay intact!! Its so nice to have power in both locations...Trunk for stereo stuff...engine bay for all the usual stuff!! Here's how it looks all completed!

Very nice looking. the only problem is if you want to show or race it, they penalize or have restrictions on relocated batteries

Awe No Big......I never licked the Super Stock Class anyways!! Room for the EFI system and a clean engine bay was the requirement for me. As I stated....done the swap a couple times but always ran the wiring direct from the battery....So getting power for axg. items was a pain....even just hooking up a timing light....so the remote terminal was a necessity for me!! Love it!

Thanks!!! I'm a bit Anal! So...Touchup paint finally showed up....So I got the spare tire cover color matched!
Also....This cover is strong enough...I can sit on it without damage....Love that! I built a little toolbox for the spare
tire area...I plan on driving the crap out of this car!
