07 charger

Weird problem that I have not even Googled yet. 07 Charger with 50,000 miles. 5.7 sho engine. After running normal for a few minutes, the engine backs down to 45 mph regardless of how much accelerator is pressed. Transmission stays at about 3000 rpm. It did this last night to my son, and I recreated the same results today.

The engine light is on, and I will be bringing to a shop tomorrow. I was just wondering if any of y'all have heard of this problem.

Does it have the electronically controlled gas pedal?

Aw hell. I do not have a clue??? I haven't even ever heard of that? I am gonna be checking that out right now.

Well, it looks like I should be seeing a different warning light if that is the problem. I tried the little pedal dance fix that was outlined in another forum. I will not know if that worked until tomorrow, but it did not make the engine light go out, so ???
