Doing a little bit of math. I you could get your slant six A Body down to 2800 pounds and spray it with 150 shot of N02 it should hit the high twelves or low 13's. Seems a little optimistic to me but even if you could get it into the 14's that is a really respectable stret car.

For those of you that have raced your /6's what times and with what setup/hp have you turned?

Curious.

260 wheel hp and 2800 pounds should equal 12.9 seconds.

hey theres me. 17.58 thats with 500 miles on the car, just testing everything out. oh and it turns out i had 2:71 rear gears at the time. i wasnt even hitting third gear. hopefully i will make it to the track this weekend with my 3:55's and new carb.
 
I'm #1 in the 12 second section. Duplicate my build at 2800# and you'll be in the mid 11's.
 
congrats slantzilla. that must be fun. i have to keep mine somewhat stock and streetable. i dont have a heater or wipers, but i do have front and rear seats, and maybe one day carpet. i will be happy with 15's, maybe once the head is done....
 
where do u think all be with a 68 dart 3000 lbs.

3.91 SG and a 904 manual reverse VB

9.5 comp .510 cam heavily ported head, 600dp on massaged clifford manifold and hooker super comp headers?

light dyno pull showed 180hp and 250tq before tuning

you have a really good looking wagon .are you going to fremont on the 7th?
 
Lose 600lbs for starters,if you want to do it on all motor.I ran 13.009 all motor with simalar build at 2500lbs.Car now is 2400 lbs with me in it and runs in the 11s with new motor.Guzzi Mark

haha when i first started racing my stock 225 it ran a 20.20! haha. i got it down to 18.5 with no mods cann't wait to see with the new set up!

im getting a 72 z for a daily driver so i can go more extreme on the dart. so besides glass parts and stripping it, what are ur other tricks?
 
take out the regulators and put straps for the windows. take our rear seat. light weight battery if you really want to start shaving every lb

yep i was thinking of this also!

hey! what about going to homedepot and buying some sheets of lexan big enough for a side window for about 12 bucks??
