A friend with a 69 Barracuda fastback with 416 stroker threw a rod just before the finish line ...oiled the track and did 3 cookies as he tripped the lights!
This was up in Minnesota at BIR... I am sure some FABO members witnessed it .

Not sure that would have prevented the oil down... 1 rod impailed his TTi header and I think some shrapnel went thru the pan .

Yep ... except according to Dan and my brother (who was there) he did 3x360s...1 of which was under throttle just before the finish line. Look at the mph vs et and 1/8 mile mph... they figure he was doing around 115 when it started and he scrubbed speed while rotating. Dan said his tires rolled over enough to scrub the side walls . I advised him to get new tires and go thru his 727 for good measure.

Spooky....looks like he was on a 10.90 pass prior to the acrobatics.....non for me thanks, I'll keep my life boring and drive in straight lines, lol.
