Hey all, getting ready to put the 11.75" big brake swap on my 70' duster. I'm rear mounting the calipers using 78 Chrysler Córdoba calipers (same as 73+ A-Body/F-Body but with larger piston size) and I bought the corresponding hard lines for the rear mounted front brakes from dr diff but my question is...what brake hoses should I use?

-stock a-body hoses are too short
-f-body hoses will work supposedly if I remove some tab?
-cass says to use 69 camaro hoses with 82 diplomat calipers - I want to use my cordoba parts, not gm stuff...

I'm lost, HELP!

it's a couple of brake hoses - you're over thinking it - if "69 Camaro" hoses are the right fit - use 'em - NO ONE is EVER going to know

But they're the right fit for calipers I don't have...I'm wondering what will work with my Córdoba calipers, or essentially any A/F body calipers?

you would probably be best served to contact one of the aftermarket brake line companies online... SSBC comes directly to mind.. Inline Tube.. there are a bunch - let your keyboard do the walking through the Google pages...

Ummm don't the calipers hang on the front?

What's the advantage of hanging them on the rear? Sway bar clearance?

Seems to me if you want to run Mopar hoses, they did the homework for you.

I don't recommend running pre '80 slider calipers toward the rear on Mopar muscle cars because the hose routing is funky.

Good info, thanks Cass! I'm going to do the mock up next weekend, I'll let you know if I end up needing those dippy calipers and camaro hoses:) At this point I just want the dang thing driveable! lol
