12 Gauge Male Packard Terminals?

-
Thanks Rob. I tried a couple different things today. I think I've got it figured out. I appreciate the help.

I have never been able to figure out what is the "proper" crimp tool for Packard 56 connectors, one that gives a factory crimped look. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what works for you?

You will need a "w" style crimp tool for open barrel terminals. I have sold the S&G #18600 and #18920 tools to dealership techs to repair factory Delco Packard type terminals. I have used the ratchet style that Lowes sells also. All produce a "w" style crimp. tmm

You will tend to find most of the crimpers stop at 14ga.

I have two sets of crimpers, one for 14-22 and another that is specific to 12ga. I actually use the 14 gauge to start the crimp on the 12 ga and finish it with the correct crimper. Makes for a cleaner crimp.

The ones that do both at the same time can be rough as the spacing has to be just right.

I got mine through Moser Elec. Supply IIRC.
