wow. went to the strip few weeks ago and witnessed this beat up lookin 69 coronet pull a 12.20. went in the pits to see what it had. ratty lookin 318. no nitrous, no high dollar racing parts. full interior car. i was shocked. very cool

Yeah a 69 Coronet is a pretty darn heavy car unless stripped to the shell and rusted out. No near stock 318's gonna do a 12.20. Had to be a stroker with some good flowing heads for sure.

I'd have to agree. I had a 69 Super Bee (coronet) with a wild 440 dual 4bbl and it was all I could do to that 3900 lb monster into the high 11's.
