So I decided I'm done with trying to fix these drum brakes on my 64 convertible and I'm upgrading to the pirate jack
5 on 4.5 bolt pattern disc brake kit with power assist duel master cylinder. So I'm ditching the 13" stock look and going 15" wheels. I was wondering what size 15" tires I'll need to fit on a stock height 64 Dart? Plus if anyone out there has an early A body with 15" wheels or mags please post some photos! I need some ideas on what wheels I want to get.

Thanks!

Paul

215 60 15 all around… I have the 73+ disc brake swap in the front and 8 1/4 in the back. I don’t love where the front wheels sit in the wheel well, but they were free. No complaints from me.

Went from stock 13” to 15x7 mopar rallye. BFG 215/60/15. Also, time for new tires so i’m debating going taller in rear this time. Maybe 65 or 70.

are you running 5x4.5 adapters on the rear?
The entire running train is 74 A body. That’s the way I got the car. So far I’ve replaced the front brakes and suspension. The 74 318 came out and is awaiting the original 273. The 7.25 BBP is still on board but that will be replaced with a 8.25.

My 66 has SBP Wheel Vintiques front and rear. 15x7 rear with 245/60-15, and 15x6 front with 215.65-15, all Cooper Cobras. They fit easy-peasy with no binding or rubbing anywhere. I'm still running the factory 7.25 and 9" drums all around.

225-70's on the black wheels. 235-70's on the aluminum wheels. Both are 15x7" with 4" backspace.

Hi can you give me some info on your rims make bolt pattern offset thanks
The wheels are Halibrand look alike's no longer produced. There was a vendor at The Nats a half dozen years ago selling them. I bought mine used from a member here. They are small bolt pattern 15". 4 1/2" wide on the front with 165/80-15's and 15x7 with a 4" backspace.

Looks cool.
Are you running the same size tires on the front? They look tiny compared to the back.

My avatar is my car with 15" wheels. I'm at work, no pics of my stuff on the computer at work.

195/60-15 front
235/60-15 rear

15X6 Cragar wheels

I've since lowered the rear about 4" at the rear bumper by using a lowering bracket on the front leaf springs. No clearance issues.

The steel wheels are 15x5 with 185/65R15 up front and 15x7 with 255/60R15s out back.

The American Racing Torq-Thrust Originals on the front are 15x5 with 165R15s. The rear wheel/tire combo to go with the TTOs are 15x8s, and not 100% on tire size, but am leaning towards 29” pie crust slicks.
