Will a 15X8 rim with 4 3/4" backspacing fit inside a stock 68 Dart rear wheel well. I do have superstock springs so she does sit a bit higher
8 3/4? 5x4.5” or 5x4” axles?
If it’s an A body 8 3/4 with BBP axles then yes. If it’s an A-body 8 3/4 with SBP axles you may need some spacers to keep the tires off the springs, depending on what you decide to run for tires.
I believe the 255/70/15 or the 255/60/15's will fit. I found a conversion chart and punched in my current rim 15X7 with 1/4 inch back spacing with the 235/70/15 and the 15X8 with 4 3/4 back spacing with the 255/70/15's and I believe I'm going to be ok4-3/4 inch is just about the perfect backspace if you're using 4-1/2 inch conversion axles.
Here are 15x7s with 255/60-15 M/T SS Drag Radials on a 69 dart .
I have 15x8 with same tires on my Cuda and it looks like the overall width of tire doesnt change much.
