well i'm not positive on it , but my rims measure 9'' across the entire width i believe i set them up at @ 4 5/8 '' to the inside from the rears , i have made some more for a more door dart project , these are setup for the wheel covers from the 14''rims with a rear spacing of 4 3/4'' .

For a Barracuda with an A-body width 8 3/4 and stock spring locations your best bet for 275/60/15’s would be 15x8 with a 4.5” backspace for BBP axles, or 4.25” of backspace for SBP axles.
275’s are the limit for most Barracuda’s if you want the wheel to actually fit inside the wheel wells with a stock or lower ride height. Larger is only possible with a raised rear ride height, or offset springs.

I'm running small bolt pattern Centerlines that are 15x8 with 4-1/4 b.s. and 275-60 15's stock springs in the stock location. About 30 lbs of air in the air shocks gives it the right height.

If those shocks flattened out you'd have some damage eh? I only say because back in High school a bud with a 68 Chevelle had his shocks air out, his dad had to come to us with a set of smaller tires to get it home.
nope they never touched the springs , there was about a @1/4 of an inch , but as you can see the white leetrers are unmolested , and i drove it everywhere .
