Hi all,

well the time has come for the dart to be getting new shoes, here is what the original plan was to be:

set of Coy C-5's
18x7's up front w/ 4.25" BS
20x8.5's in back w/ 5.25" BS

called Coy's today to find out the 18x7's are on back order for about 3 months! talking with one of the reps david, he gave me the option to run 18x8's w/ 4.5" BS which they do currently have in.

SO will this work? or is anyone currently running 8" in the front?

im running a 69 Dart w/ the kelsey hayes setup and stock front suspension.

any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

For the front:

225/60/15 on 15x7 with 4.25 fit in the front with 4.5 disk brake conversion. But it is tight. With original 5 on 4 4-piston disks, there should be a little more room. The wheel are about 1/4" narrower on those.

What size tires do you want to run with the 18x7 or 18x8's? But I don't see either of those fitting with that little backspacing 4.25 or 4.5.

You're going to need 5-5.5 backspacing, very low profile tires.

I'm thinking 18x7 with 5.25 backspacing and 225/50/18 tires. Or 18x7 with 4.75 backspacing (maybe 4.5" backspacing) and 225/45/18 tires

Try using this comparator: http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp

20x8.5's in back w/ 5.25" BS

Those should smash into the leaf spring if the car has a A-body rear end in it. 4.5 is about max backspacing with stock stuff.
