There is also a Facebook group for 49 plymouths (P18s). I am not a member, though I do own a 49 business coupe. (I don't do fakebook. Found it by googling Plymouth P18)
I drive a 48 plymouth special deluxe club coupe all over the place. It currently has a 400/727 combo with 2.76 gears in the 8 3/4. Lots of info on the p15/d24 site… especially if you keep it stockish. I did not.
the 49 is a little different than mine but I had no trouble finding all the rubber stuff for the doors and windows, lots of stuff on eBay. Quite a few enthusiast for these cars. My 48 has been my favorite project/driver for a long time, enjoy!!

Don't know about forums, but there's this club. Plymouth Owners Club: Some Members' Cars Thye have tech advisors for most all antique eligible years from 1928 right up to around 2000
