Thread moved to Mopar General forum. Website Questions is for well, website suggestions and questions, not car related.

Silly question maybe Mike but shouldn't he be on the welcome wagon? Then later post any questions to whatever forums? Just curious? @toolmanmike
Splitting hairs. The WWis to introduce yourself and show off your Mopar. This thread is asking for information. It's ok.

Ok, thanks for the clarification, i learned something new, it seemed some welcomes may get missed there but I'm sure he will slide in either way, always good to have new members.

So many WW threads start out with questions and that's ok. The members are new and haven't caught on to the site and how it works. All good.

Welcome, nice truck . You might want to look at P15-D-24, you can get a lot of the info you need there.

I know a little about these. The interior uses most the same parts as a57. The exterior uses most parts as a 59-60. The bumper guards are hard to find. If that’s the 5piece chrome on the windshield it’s VERY hard to find. Wheels look to be 3/4 ton truck? I have a 59 Sweptside.

Yes, I'm from the prairies, lol. I'm from Alberta.
I don't have the box. It looks like it was used as dumb truck. There is a pto on the back. It says Fargo 8 300 on the side.
I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with it. It really depends how easy it is to get original parts

Thank you for the info.
It says Fargo 8 300 on the hood.
Would this be a sweptside as well?

300 were 1-ton. The Sweptsides we’re all 100 1/2 ton, rear fins on pickup. 57- 59 rare pickups

Not sure what 300 models had for a ‘pickup box’, but they had a 126” wheel base where as D100’s and 200’s had 116” wheelbase

We have a member here who has some Fargos. I'm plum shamed of myself that I cannot remember his screen name. He's over on Vancouver Island. Maybe he will see this and chime in.

Rob, your probably thinking of 70dartmike, he's not too far from me but I think his trucks are a little older and newer but honestly parts are not too hard to find for those it depends on what your looking for, some of the earlier years are interchangeable, when the OP gets to that point put out a wanted add you might be surprised what people have, I have a few places to suggest for parts to. As far as a box goes seeing as it is a one ton anyway maybe just a wood flat bed with wood stake sides finished nicely would be cool?

I'm thinking to go with a flat bed. I'm a carpenter and i have access to wood.
Where would I post this wanted add?
I know I need some new window seals and door seals as well one of the small triangle windows in the door is missing.
Cheers

Right in the Mopar parts wanted section. It IS a Mopar, after all. You might also visit the For Trucks Only forum and put an ad there, but this site easily has the highest traffic.

Dodge city truck parts has all the weather stripping you need, that's where I got mine for my 56 AND he is in Canada so no duties or exchange, he's a old guy so he isnt much in internet orders unless things have changed you have to pick up the phone....old school!
