1964 Barracuda front seat

How does the front seat top and bottom come apart. I have new upholstery to install and need to separate the halves to do it right. Is it simple?

Fold the seat forward, look at the hinge at the pivot point...see that little cap/cover that looks like a top hat? That holds the pin in the hinge .... Take that off and then you can slide or tap the pin out. There are 2 of these per seat. But, sometimes that little clip/cover can be stubborn...good luck.
