1964 barracuda

I have a 1964 Barracuda and it has a 1970 318 in it I just found the numbers on the front of the block trying to figure out what it is
#GM 318 R if anyone can help that would be great

Sounds silly... but are there numbers cast on the sides of the block?

This on a 70 318

Yes that's where I got the 70 from can't make out the month to much grime I know it has flat top pistons in it that's about it

Those letters/numbers indicate to me that it's a 1971 model year 318 engine made at the Mound Rd plant. What else do you want to know?
