1964 Dart GT convertible

Front of the instrument panel ready. Next the backside. I found the cover lock for the fuse box. But is there a cover lock for the push bottom mecanism?

Finally the steering column is assembled and ready. I found a little hook to told the wiring in place. Never seen it before.

Top of dash painted. What a differens compare to shiny black. Adding speaker and wiring for it and we're ready.

The speaker on this one was dead. Will glass bead it and a new coat of paint.
The clips that hold the wiring to the neutral start switch was there. Restored the cable and mounted it the way it was installed.
Even the driver side exhaust manifold brackets were there.
The accelrator wire is mounted in place too.

Finally the air cleaner was done. However the lid needs to be replaced. Looks like it has gone thru a crusher!!

On a 64 Dart GT compared with a 65 Dart GT it is a bunch of stainless steel mouldings. So me and my grandson Oscar do the work. I do the wet sandning down to 2500 grit and he does the polishing. He does an excellent job.
He even has teared down two 273s for restoration for me.

Today I took apart the front end again.Primered the new steel part, sealer between fender and inner fender and put it all together and adjusted it by the book. Tricky with so many side mouldings.
Anyone know if the rear hood bumper are repopped in correct model?

Made a bracket for the last hydraulic cylinder that was never added due to manual top. But now we are ready for a power top system.
Anyone have a picture how the power top switch looks like and where it is mounted?

Today I was able to finish up all the adjustments on the body. Worst was drilling the holes for the side mouldings on a NOS left front fender! Next is to vacuum the body and then deliver it to Mikael's paintshop.
Anniversary gold with black stripe.

MIkael, the paint guy was on. Cleaned the car from road dust and he has already masked it.

Mikael, the bodyman is making progress. Visited him today and body almost ready.
Will be painted anniversary gold with black stripe. Found the correct paint code for Glasurit A1677.

Inside hood and trunk was painted with epoxy primer. Next the paint were sprayed. Just the outside left.

Finally the hood and trunk lid are mounted on the body. Now it's just to get it home......! Big difference compare to when it showed up in crashed condition.
