1964 Dart wiper removal

I'm hoping there may be a thread on this.

I need to remove the windshield wiper arms to take the wind shield out.

The arms have a nut that holds them on the shaft but I can't figure out how to pull them off the drive shaft.

Remove the nuts, and squirt the shafts with a GOOD penetrating lube (not WD40) and wiggle while pulling hard. Some folks have used two screwdrivers with padding to protect the paint, and even some small gear pullers may work. Use some white lithium grease when ya put 'em back on and next time it won't be such a hassel!

So they are friction fit, was looking for some kind of locking clip.

Appreciate your help. Rust holes along wind shield edge. Resto starts today.
