Greetings all...the body work and paint is complete on my 1964 Plymouth Barracuda...my body man did a great job. Now I am looking to fill the wheel wells. The car is a 225 slant siz with 71000 original miles. As far as I know the rear differential is stock and original to the car.
I found some 14 x 4.5 14 inch rims for it for the front. I also found a pair of 14 x 6 inch rims for the rear with a negative offset of 1 inch....I am looking to put 185/75/14 on the front as the car has manual steering and a bit wider tire in the rear to fill in the wheel well...maybe 195/70/14 or 205/70/14's...my questions...

1) Will the negative offset rims fit in the rear wheel well
2) will the negative offset and larger width tire cause excessive wear on the bearings and rear differential?
With a 225 slant in it, it is never going to be a racer....just looking for a fuller rear wheel well
With thanks. Greg

Go 205/70/14 on all 4 corners , fills the wheel wells and you can rotate the tires.

Anyone noticed any concerns re steering with those size tires? It is a manual steering box...with thanks
