Whatsup guys. Today is a good day. Rear end is installed and brakes also.

I have my measurements. They are as follows: from front of the face of the disc brakes here are the numbers

5 1/4 to lip

6 3/8 to leaf spring

3 1/2 top of inside wheel well

I want to run 245s on the back. What size rim 15 x what ? and what backspacing would allow me to fit a 245 on my rear ?

6" is about the narrowest you can get away with 245's so i'd start there with a eye toward backspace. like we all stated before, the outer wheel lip and how the quarter pinches in is where you're going to find the limiting factors.

i would think a 7 or 8 would allow the tire to sit a little more "square" and not bulge out the sidewall as much, but i don't know if you've got the real estate for that with an off the shelf rim.

Looks good. Ya, that rear disc will throw you off because it's not the same as my 66 with 10" drum brakes. For my Swinger, I started with a wheel that fit even though it was too narrow. I knew I couldn't add a inch of backspace but I wanted to go from a 5.5-7" if possible. I had room for 1/2" on the inside and a bit more than a inch on the outside. 15x7 with 4.25" backspace.
