Dartman can you explain more do they replace a part or slide in? ive never seen them but would like to not have the person behind me push me out the windshield in a sudden stop lol.

These do not lock the seat back in a fixed position. I believe that feature wasn't required until the 1968 model year.
I think these parts are what attach the seat back to the base.
