My Driver and I have recently joined the Forum to get as much help as possible modifying our 1965 Barracuda. Our plan is to (1) replace the 273 with a 360, (2) replace the 904 auto with an A-833 manual, (3) replace the 7.25 with an 8.75 rear, (4) replace the the front drums with disks. Any money left over will be used on paint, interior, and bling. The pictures show the car, the old 273, the new 360, and the new A-833.

Thanks for the comments.

Nice cars there, Winstoninwisc. What color blue is that? My Driver wants a dark blue on our project car.

2-66 Cudas, thanks for the offer, but I have a set of pedals.

I removed the covers from the 273 that came with the car only to discover it had no rocker arms. Also, the exhaust push rod for #6 was bent. No biggie since I intend to replace the 273 with the 360, but I had hoped to sell the 273.

Nice car! A 360 and a 4 speed will really scream. Plan on heavier duty leaf springs. My original 273 Barracuda would wrap the stock leafs with my 340 and 4 speed setup. The 1st-2nd shift had the pinion snubber SLAMMING the floor.

As requested, I'm posting some pictures of the carb that came on the 273 when I bought it. The carb looks like a replacement. It has no model tag that I can see.

The 360 came from a 1984 Ramcharger. It was already disassembled when I bought it. The heads had been redone and the block bored 0.015". I put new Eagle rods and pistons in it; Edlebrock manifold; Holley 4160. Let me know if you need some specific information.
