1965 Dart 270 4dr sedan

Last week I found a old 60ies style ski racket. Just like the old taxi cars used back in the day.

They are adjustable in the center section. I fabricated a steel plate so I could mount the taxi sign.
Next is to add the power so the sign will light up. But without making a hole in roof!

Connecting the wires at the bulkhead connector showed me some news. The arrow on the bulkhead connector isbpointing down. On my Dart Chargers they are pointing left. The 4 door is assembled in late 65 while the Dart Chsrger were assembled in mid December of 64.

Did they change for 1966 and started earlier? Or did the 64 fire walls continued a while during the 65 production?

Found an NOS Dodge splash shield. Not sure if Chrysler or Dodge splash shields were used?

Finally I found three factory mud flaps for this car. 2 hours of cleaning and they look pretty ok. Just need one more.....

On Tuesday the restored 225 will show up. This means that finally it's time to drop it into the car. I can hardly wait!

Today the restored 225 engine from 1965 showed up. Everything was ok til I searched for the motor mounts. I found the complete left side but only the insulator on the right side.
Does any FBO member has a picture on how the right engine bracket looks like?

Finally time to drop the engine. 40 minutes later and it's in place. Next radiator and connecting the engine/tranny and hook up all the wiring/hoses.

Added some fuel lines and all the ignition. The radiator is in place with a NOS upper radiator hose.
Need to find the bracket that goes between the enging and tranny on the drivers side.

Yesterday I recieved the exhaust system for my taxi. Looks great. Except one thing, the flange towards the manifold wasn't there. I took off the flange from the old pipe but what to do next? Should I just bolt it with a gasket and thats it or bolt it and then weld it in place?

Here is the one that matches what I have on Vixen.....with one exception. The small tab sticking out. That's for a clutch fork return spring. But it also has the same small hole in it that the bracket on Vixen has in ther 90 degree part the tap is attached to. I have several of there. Looks like there are two different styles. One has a wider bolt spacing at the transmission than the other. Maybe auto vs manual? I don't know. I can send both and that way we probably won't miss.

That seems to be the one. I have auto so that tab wouldn't be an issue.

It looks the same as the blue one you posted. Didn't you say the blue one wouldn't work? Here are both styles side by side.

I have several slant 6 904s. I can go out tomorrow and see which bracket matches up to one.

I can send both regardless. Then we probably won't miss. lol

This is how one looked but it was wrong year or something. Blue on backside might indicate a 70ies bracket.

The one I pulled off my CA-built 65 motor looks quite similar to the one in your top picture complete with some old red paint matching the faded red on the engine block. I suspect the factory used ehatever they had left since my wagon is a very late July build. I had it powdercoated red. I will take some pictures later this morning’s
