They looked great in the factory broschure!
Love the wagon! Built back when the cars still had style. I'm blocking out my 70 Dart right now and it's amazing just how many body lines and angles there are on it. Now all the cars are just a series of bulbous curves. I get it- for aerodynamics and all and I don't mind it but I really like the angular body lines of old.
By the way, You do a lot of research on factory habits. On the rear valance under the license plate is a big "OK" in what looks like grease pencil or maybe regular pencil. Do you suppose that was done on the line after a certain step or maybe as it left the line when completed? Kind of fun.
Date coded spark plug wores make the engine run better. I think!!! Now I just need to find out where the black plastic wire connectors are located!

Next part that needed some attention was the parking brake lever. After a good cleaning and some polishing the handle bar was ok. Next was the stop mecanism. Sanded down the brackets and have the a new shot of paint. The sluminium pin eas not so good but I found an assembly line pin. Bolted in place it looks good.
Now I just need the parking brake handle.

[/QUOTE]I will refer back to this when I go to mount mine - by myself unless I can get my wife to lend a couple of hands!
My pedal looks NOS, even though I'm sure it's not. The bracket assembly is already cleaned, painted and ready to install whenever I get to that point.
A friend and FABO member FWDLK Frank was making some kick panels for his 65 Valiant and made me a set as well in the correct blue color.View attachment 1715126250

Where the armrests supposed to be color coded to the interior paint ? I thought they were supposed to be chrome.
Bill
Bill, they were chromed in Dart GT and Valiant Signet and Barracuda only.
So finally the Cragar S/S wheels are restored with new Coker whitewall tires mounted. Question is if they look great on the wagon. Would blackwall been better?

Me too! But now shes completed with whitewalls all around. Swop every second year perhaps? To me, the whitewalls go with full hubcaps,.. blackwall with dog dish, bare, or mags. But I am a product of the 60's.
That turned out real pretty Ulf. Nothing wrong with the Cragars at all but I really like the clean look of the factory wheel covers and narrow white walls.Me too! But now shes completed with whitewalls all around. Swop every second year perhaps?
