1966/'69 A100 Twins Build

Looks like a crazy gasser with the suspension under it and not bolted in! As always, awesome job!!

Mocking up some of the parts to see how things look/fit. The radiator/dog house is different in '69 and up with the dual master cylinder. I do have the right one but I did not have that one blasted and straightened... but it has a big chunk missing on the top... I think it is easier to graft the changed lower leg from the correct one onto the older one I have mostly ready to paint.

I know you're focusing on mechanical, but I'm loving the contrast between the orange and cream on interior parts. Really looks great!

Awesome!!!!!!

Make my trip to th car wash and a wipe down with boiled linseed oil is me just taking the easy way out!!!!!???? :BangHead:  :steering: :poke:

Now the A100 is painted my buddy is feeling the pressure..

.... he has been dreading doing this setup but it is now done so the block can start through the process.. He almost destroyed his line honing stones on my first 225 when he realized there is a small step at the back of he block that has no apparent use. He now machines off that lip so he can line hone the block without destroying his equipment on the Bridgeport.
This will be getting 0.080 off the block, 0.050 off the head, oversized valves, port cleanup, Oregon Cam 819 with a custom 106 LCA and rebuilt rocker assy by Rocker Arms Unlimited. Topped off with Aussie Lynx intake and Hi-Tech exhaust.

Teaser on the Trucks power plant ... I am not going that big on the cam (220 vs 245 duration) which means I need to go to lower compression. Mine should have more torque on the low end but start dying off around 5000 RPM.

If I had that truck with that setup, I'd keep the dog box off, then I'd wind up deaf, and also wrecking it 'cause I'm just looking at the engine instead of the road...

Haha! I bet! Watching that cloud of fuel swirling is mesmerizing

Now I can build up the doors (other than the handles are being rechromed) and I think I found someone in Tucson that cuts flat automotive glass... need to call them after the new year.

I will say it again! Great work!!!
Love that"er'nge"!
I had a 70 Challenger V code 6 pac car way back about '89 that was orange inside and out! Even the motor!!!!

How’s it going with new year resolutions? 12 hours in.

1) I’m not working on the A100 today: FAIL
2) I’m not going to do a good enough job on the dog house that I will be tempted to cut and buff it….. it’s ready for paint: FAIL

One of my Mopar regrets was not buying an A100 pickup from a bud with a ton of old mopers back a few years ago.. I have had just about every thing else. They are so cool!

Can start actually assembling the cab for real now!!! This will be Matte when dry.

Guess I was wrong when my wife asked if she could throw away the broken corkscrew. Guess tonight’s wine will be Chateau De Snap-On. The work never ends.

Miserable windy cold winter day. Decided you should not mix these 2. Kids don’t drink and wire. Time to watch a movie under a blanket.
