I am looking at a 66 post valiant with a /6 auto. I want to put in a 72 360 and 3 spd. on floor(70's style a body).

I already have pedals out of a 65 dart( /6 3spd)

column out of 66 cuda

what do I have to do to get the engine and trans in?

Can i just use 273 mounts and shim the one side with stock K-frame?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

273 mounts will work fine, the k-frame is the same for 6 & 8 cars 64-66, just change the mounts

And check the center link they have 2 diffferent ones and you will need a dropped center link for the V-8

The engine mount brackets need to be altered to fit the 360. The LH one needs to be narrowed or shimmed and depending on your particular 360 block casting, you may need to cut and move and ear or two. Some 360 blocks have 3 mounting bosses on the block but they are a different 3 than the early 273. You are going to have to figure out what you're going to use as an exhaust system and bell housing/clutch too.....and radiator, brakes, rear axle, etc......you get the idea....it's a process!
