Yeah, it ain't far off. I saw a meme on Facebook today that said "when this weather clears up, that ground is the first thing goin on the grill" LOL
Looks like some of my fat fingers and getting in a hurry , most likely if it was me I was replying that as soon as this weather clears up black will be behind the grill

Mike, you've done a wonderful job on this. I'm plum proud to see it coming together on here. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thats good to hear my friend, it's nice to get feed back from the old members that helped pick up this gift for me. @smallblock (Bill Storm) drove the wife and I up to Try Missouri to pick up my gift going on 19 years ago  :thankyou:

Picture of that day driving home that Bills wife took with a fancy, fast shutter camera, wife is slide over tight to me, we was cruising 65 at this time.

In the drawing, I explain what happened after a 18 year sleep, she sounded and ran very good till nearly 310 miles, so it's going to get a regrind to get back into shape I hope, or get a reading on this cam to have another done, son is bringing me a valve pressure gage so I can get a read on them.. there was zero blow by, good compression (hope to get a reading on that also) and ran nice and cool at 70 and had zero problems in stop and go in town.
The other thing I wanted to test was my very low mileage trans (904 heavy stack) I had built was indeed ok, it shifted, pulled hard and never gave me a shifting problem, so it's good to go.
memike has been very busy and enjoying it, never in a hurry and checking everything as I remove parts.
Just an up date, completed my console a week ago, it works great, so ! What is that doing in my car you say, 40 dollars and die, and a little time I have a working, not shabby console.

@memike just remember, if you use a regrind, make sure you measure for pushrods, because the base circle will be smaller and it will likely require longer pushrods.

Yes sir re bob
Going to have him order the correct lifters and hopping it can bring took care of, there is a good track around the base circle, but when it got to the top of the lobe I see there is a flat dome on I think 4.. Hopefully pulled it out in time .

My sons are telling me not to put a low end tork cam in, you know, the kind that comes in at 23 hundred and makes it to 4800 rpms

That'll run out of steam purdy quick. If you like how it's lumpy, then put somethin back like that.

Yep, the car is lite enough and that cams was plenty strong pulling out in front of traffic, yep, i better keep it like it is Rob.. I agree.

When I tabbed it a 30 mph it would get me concerned about my seats, but they are bolted and have 5 inch 1/8th inch steal washers under the bottom bolts

The seat backs are what's moving. The stock ones aren't real stout.

Well, I spent my last bit of rat hole money and ordered break in oil and my cam shaft, @Kegan B And I had a lengthy talk and he know my gears, tq converter stall and my needs, he and I agreed to buy just the cam and order lifters from another location for the best , I will fill everyone in on that information soon enough  Thank you Kegan, your insite and knowledge has helped me yet again.

Had to get another part done so I completed my auto trunk popper yesterday morning, then the strain of that bad weather hits me and tired me out from the night before
