Was bought new in 68 in wichitaw falls and wrecked around 1975 and the owner put it up in his shop untill 2004 when he decided to have it fixed, it got new formula s fenders, hood, 67 grilles and other front end parts. They charged him way to much, he got mad and sold it to me. We put a 73 318 , disc brakes , big bolt patern front and rear, console automatic 904, and re did the interior. That is mine

Here's my build sheet. It came out from above the glove box in pieces, so a few areas are missing.

I have a 69 Barracuda, VIN#BH23F9B180501, High class coupe, 318/904, power steering, front disc brakes, buckets, console, white/red interior, red exterior. That's what it was, anyway.
Now its primer gray, black interior, roll cage, set up for a 360/4-speed, 8-3/4 rear with 4.89 gears. I have posted the fender tag before.

purchased Feb. 2004
in Rigby ID
it didn't sell on ebay but thats where I found it.

383 Formula S
VIN- BH23H72275584
coupe/notchback
engine in it now is a '68 383
1967
automatic consul
8 3/4 4:10
original Dk Red with Red int.
Black vinyl top
don't know if it had a stripe or not
condition: modified when I got it. poorly done mini tubs, fender well headers, '68 hood louvers, custom paint and interior, had a '69 HP block RB engine in it bored 60 over!
Options: tinted glass, deluxe interior, AM radio, performance indicator, lower rocker mouldings.
I have No build sheet, No build card and No fender tag. The car does have a big block K member, torque boxes and dual exhaust rear valance.
Radiator support number is:72227022II
Trunk lip:72227022II

That's what I got. I hope it helps with the registry I have no hope as far as a build sheet goes but I would like a fender tag and certi-card for it at some point. Funny the most valuable thing on a car is paper!
Thanks for starting this project,

Sean

sean, The H in your vin is a 383 car so it would be will worth the value to venture this road.

Your car is a 67, you CAN order a build card for it from Chrysler historical for $45. For 68 and up you can not get this information from them.
Go here and follow the instructions pretty simple. http://www.chryslergroupllc.com/company/Heritage/Pages/Build-Records.aspx

Then once you get the card and you can tie the core support/ trunk lip numbers to the vin via the build card. Go here: http://www.mmcdetroit.com/Datatags/
They can reproduce your fender tag and certicard. 275.00 for fender tag and 175.00 for certicard.
If you choose to go this route and need help decoding the build card let me know I'd be happy to help you with that, for free. I just got mine for my 67 383 car.
Your hidden number meanings
7 - 1967
2 - Hamtramck build
2 - SPD month Feburary
27 -SPD Day - 27th (1967)
02211 - SO Number (this would be on fender tag in 67 would not match vin tag. It is also on broadcast sheet and the build card)

Go here http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=255821&page=3
scroll down this page; will give you an example of what you're able to get.

Thanks Rocky JS! If you're ever come over to Boise, I'm not hard to find!

:director:Welcome to the official FABO 1967-69 Barracuda Registry!:supz:

As requested! This is for the members of FABO, to share information on the 1967 to 1969 Barracudas, all models, all engines, in any condition- and hopefully we can also increase membership on this great site.

A website is in our future if this grows, if not we’ll keep it here- as long as the mods are ok with it.

I bought my 1967 Barracuda just a few years ago, and with the help of the many gracious members here, Chrysler Historical, books, and the internet, I have learned a great deal about these cars- (and also learned about all of the bad information floating around, and the confusion).

With your help maybe we can all learn more.

I looked into a few other registry sites to see what information they request and why, so lets get to it.

Your VIN.

Many do not want to send it to anyone, myself included. The only reason to catalog VINs that I can see is to be able to place each car in the proper production order. One of the main reasons I decided to educate myself on these cars was to eventually determine when my car was built in relation to every other 67 with similar options, and where it fell within the production year. As far as I can tell, that is impossible to do without the VIN.
So I leave it up to you whether or not you want to share that information. If you do I will list those cars in order of production and never share the information with anyone. I will also keep the file secure.

OK, here we go.

Please let me know what your expectations are?
What you hope to get out of this?
And please provide any other feedback or input.

I am good with the 67 and 68 stuff, and just learning the 69 stuff, so let’s help each other when possible- do I even have to say that here?

Below is a list of information that you can send to me via pm that will greatly help me with this project.

Matthon,

Are you still doing this project? If so, I am a new member and recently purchased a 67 Barracuda that I need help
with. I can send you all the details...

Frank

Shortly after I started this thread, I became the primary care giver to a family member, so priorities changed.

I would be happy to help. I still have the info and reference materials, from the regular sources.

Chrysler Historical is still doing their thing, so I suggest you send them your info and request a copy of the IBM build card.

John over at the early Charger registry, online website, reproduces build cards, and they are spot on.

excellent, I will try chrysler historical first, do you happen to have any contact info? Any info on them seems obsolete and goes right to FCA....

I screenshot this from their webpage recently, I don't have the link.
A few used this info over on fbbo.

They'll send you a horrible copy of the build card, and if you're lucky a letter.
No worries, even the worst copies can be deciphered.

We tried applying for paperwork from them. Turned out to be a waste of time unfortunately.

My understanding is they were shut down for a time, but are now back up and running, but stopped sending the letter with the card.

I need to try it myself for another car.

thanks a lot. do most people request this info via fax or letter? Which do you think is best?

I hope this post is still active. I've recently bought a 67 Barracuda Formula S 273 4 speed car and was wondering about production numbers. All I can find to date is that 5,352 Formula S 273 cars were built, it doesn't seem to drill down any deeper than that. I've managed to decode my fender tag, with the following results. Any idea on numbers for these options? Thanks.

Just got my Chrysler IBM Punch card scan from Chrysler after requesting it in June 2020. Apparently they were not allowed access to the records Most of 2020 and last year. I don't have a fender tag so I was curious as to what my car actually is. 1967 273 commando Formula S. Originally Gold Metallic with black interior. Looks like it has been painted yellow twice in its life.

VIN: BH23E72211939
Body Type: B = Barracuda
Price Class: H = High
Body Type: 23 = 2 Door Hardtop
Engine: E = 273 235HP 1-4BBL 8 CYL
Year: 7 = 1967
Plant: 2 = Hamtramck - Detroit, MI
Sequence Number: 211939

I requested my 67 IBM card as well and received it a few years back. I see your is as clear as mine... very fuzzy photo copy. I would like to find a clear copy of the card so I can accurately mark out my punch card. Anyone have a clear picture of the printing on the card?

The letters/#s on the side, in this pic the top, correspond to the punch holes.
