What do you recommend for.clutch and flywheel package for my 340 build......motor will make 380 - 390 horse and about 415 to 425 torque...mated to a 833 4 speed and 3:23 suregrip 8.75 rear??

Depends on use, if your not dragging it you don't need much. I always had good luck with Hayes in my street strip cars. Good bang for the buck. Stock steel flywheel should be fine, no aluminum.

Do not use the centerforce dual friction for a street cruiser. Another style centerforce would be fine or one of several other good clutches to choose from. I personally prefer centerforce, hays or McLeod. As mentioned above stay with a steel flywheel.

Guess I should say why not to use the centerforce dual friction. I had the rotating assembly of my 340 balanced and the guy balancing it called me and said that he did not like pressure plate because it has lots of weights on it and at low RPM they would shift to one side or the other and change the balance every time he turned the machine on. He said if I was drag racing it would be fine but on the street idling in traffic it would be beating my bearings to death.

CenterForce pressure plate, and factory 340 disc.
You will love the easy-on your-leg diaphram pp. And the 340 disc has a wonderful personality. Its smooth engaging, easy to modulate, takes a lot of abuse, and when you dump it somewhere north of 3000 that CF really puts the clamp on.
Yeah,I have noticed the flyweights in the CF do on occasion cause a minor imbalance. I chased that vibration around for quite a while. Theres an easy cure for it though.Firstly it only shows up occasionally, ands its very minor and only at the lower rpms; say 1800 to 2800 or so. The cure is just to push the clutch in, blip the throttle to above 2800, and let the clutch out again.Problem usually solved.
I only notice it while cruising, as my O/D brings the Rs down to 2300@60 mph.
Its a great! clutch. I had other 3-finger clutches. Aint going back.
The CFII disc is IMO, too harsh for street.
