I'm trying to find reliable sources for new weatherstripping and front/back glass seals for my '67 Valiant.
The car is going to be blasted to bare metal so everything currently there will be gone, and it's all shot anyway.
The '67 seems to use different windshield and rear glass seals than a 68. The '67 has a groove in it that a secondary insert fits into. I assume I can just use '68 seals and do away with the groove? However, that would mean I'd need all new reveal moldings... which aren't cheap.
Last time I checked, Steele, AMD, and Year One did not have the seals for the front/rear glass. Is Dante's the only supplier?
Any suggestions for reliable suppliers of these seals as well as all new glass would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Garry

I bought my weatherstripping for my '69 Valiant including front and rear seals from Mr.Moparts, they were at the Woodley Park shows here in Cali., only one company makes the rear one, so it was $190!!

As your finding out, the sedan application is completely different than the other Dart / Valiant applications and with it being a 67 year model, you just further added to the complexity of finding all of the seals. No one vendor makes all of the seals available for the sedan applications and will require sourcing the parts from someone like ourselves and possibly Danta who would source these parts from us and the other manufactures.
If you should decide to go the route of changing out the reveal trim to the 68 and up style, you can use the Precision windshield gasket and Steele offers a rear gasket. Door seals and glass channel run kits can be sourced from Restoration Specialties. Window felts are available in the Top Cat brand which are duplicates to your originals. Clips and fasteners for the reveal trim can be sedan specific which we stock as well.
For the glass itself, that is going to be more difficult to locate than the weatherstripping. Finding new glass I believe will be just about impossible and good used will be a challenge as well.
If you should have any questions, drop me a message and I will send you my contact information.
Thanks,
Richard

Hi, I am doing the 67 to 68 conversion on my 67 valiant. Can you tell me where I can buy the correct rear window trim clip set. I can't don't the corner clips anywhere. Please call me and I will order. 480-493-7368. Thanks, Shannon.

@Shannon Griffiths, we have found that most of the 68 to 69 A-Body sedan applications used the reveal trim clip that I have attached a photo of. It is considerably shorter in height than the more typical clip found for the A-Body applications. Not sure if this clip will help you in your situation. I can measure one and give you the dimensions if necessary.
