1968 Dart Build

-
Bought a set of A100 seats off Bay the other day for what I thought was a pretty fair price.
A guy about an hour from me has another set in about the same shape for $1200 and he won't budge off that price because that's what he paid.
There are several sets on Ebay, all for less money but then with shipping it comes out close to the $1200.
Found this set and I will be able to pick them up so I saved the $250 in shipping.

Been looking for seat upholstery for them and it seams that Legendary has the closest ones, let me know what you think.
Has anyone seen them up close or know of a better reproduction?
The lead time is 160 days, OUCH!!! Not really a big deal, I won't be ready for them for quite a while.

Since I grew up in the 60's, if it was mine I'd go with an original 383. Only because I saw so many in my youth and always loved the look of the Darts, plus that 383 emblem on the fender. I know, a silly reason.

The very first Dart I ever saw was the 68 Hemi Dart in delivered condition.
Black front and primer grey, still the meanest ride I've ever seen.
So, if you're silly, I'll be silly right along with you. Just in a different silly way:).

Started digging into the rust area's today.
Knew about the right side, didn't think the left side was this bad.
Some people love to cover things up with fiberglass:))
Just ordered patch panels for both sides.
Next weekends project.

It really looks good on that car!!!! Funny how some colors just pop on some models and not so much on other models!!
Yea got tired of seeing all the Red- dark blues and black and greens darts so on and so on

Good luck with yor project just take your time and get it right the first time and everything will fall in to place

Realizing that a 426 Hemi for this build is probably a much longer process, I picked up a 440 block from the guy I bought the Dart from. Unfortunately I realized afterwards that while it's a 68 block, it's stamped an E440 not a D440.
Got it pretty cheap and of course the very next day a complete D440, 727, A/C pop up on FB, so now I have a complete 440 and a 440 block. Got the block pretty cheap so I can sell that and make a few bucks, plus I can sell the 727, a/c comp & brackets.

Picked up a few more parts today.

- 1967 A833
- Floor shift steering column

All from the same guy, turns out he's a good friend of the guy I bought the Dart from.
Small world:))
Plus he's got a 4speed pedal assembly he's going to dig out for me.
